Overall it's a great record by Hellsystem who wrote some of the best Italian Hardcore during the 2000's.
Escape From Reality is interesting because the deeper into the song, the melody becomes increasingly uplifting. Good use of lukewarm Pads and some unique melody structures. It sounds amazing! Magnificent Millennium Hardcore.īoth Rocking In Your Face and Escape From Reality are more conventional New Style Hardcore tracks, fatter kickdrums and very clean massive Trance-like Triplet melodies. It sounds great! After a moody breakdown, the second half of the track is dominated by an even more spectacular chord progression but in this case the main melody sounds like it going up and down and this is further emphasized with the kickdrum changing at the higher and lower points of the progression.
Taking a famous sample from Hellraiser, the main synth melody is a highly cut up chord progression that tends to dance between uplifting and slightly dark. Using what sounds like a modified 909 kickdrum, so it's not as hard as what other producers were producing at the time but it's got that punchy/squashed Gabber feel to it.
